1 of 10 VW Bus Saved By BlazeCut

After losing my first VW Bus to a fire years ago, I installed a BlazeCut automatic fire suppression system in my current vehicle—a 1966 VW SO44 camper, one of an estimated ten known to still exist. Recently, the engine compartment caught fire. When I went to grab a handheld extinguisher, I heard the BlazeCut deploy under pressure, momentarily forgetting it was installed.

Within seconds, the situation went from approximately four-foot flames to zero. The fire was completely extinguished before it could cause catastrophic damage. The system performed exactly as designed, and quite frankly, exceeded expectations.

I often recommend BlazeCut to others running classic VW engines, and this experience only reinforced my confidence in the design and reliability of your system. I’m extremely grateful for the protection it provided and will be installing a new unit before driving the vehicle again.

Disaster Avoided For Dean's VW Bus

A fire in the right carb almost took Dean's Bus from being the perfect highway cruiser to just a pile of ash on the side of the highway.

Dean is a smart man and a great guy that has put a ton of work into this beautiful restoration. He had both a traditional fire extingusisher and a BlazeCut installed on this ride and luckily only one of those things had to be used to save the day.

The BlazeCut automatically went off when the fire started to get out of control and was able to put out the engine fire before any major damage could take place.

Dean's bus was saved by the automatic fire suppression provided by his BlazeCut T-Series but even more important than than is the fact that Dean was able to avoid disaster and injury in the process.
