The Short Version
BlazeCut is an automatic fire suppression system built around a single pre-charged flexible tube. The tube is both the heat sensor and the container for the FK-5-1-12 clean suppression agent. You route the tube through the enclosed space you want to protect, and it works from that moment forward without any power, any wiring, or any further attention from you.
When a fire starts inside the protected space and temperature at any point along the tube reaches the activation threshold, the tube melts open at the hottest spot and discharges the FK-5-1-12 agent directly onto the fire source. It does not wait for a smoke alarm to trigger. It does not wait for a person to notice something is wrong. It responds at the source of the fire in the first seconds.
There is no cylinder separate from the tube. No wiring into anything. No power supply. No control panel required for basic function. The whole system is the tube.
How It Is Different From a Fire Extinguisher
A fire extinguisher is a manual device. It requires a person to be present, to notice the fire, to reach the extinguisher, and to deploy it correctly before the fire grows past the point where a portable unit can make a difference. For many fire scenarios that chain of events works fine.
The problem is that the spaces where fires most commonly start, engine compartments, electrical panels, CNC machine enclosures, server cabinets, 3D printer enclosures, battery compartments, are spaces that are often unoccupied or completely unmonitored when a fire develops. An engine bay fire that starts while you are in a restaurant with your classic car parked outside is not going to be caught by a cab extinguisher. A 3D printer fire that starts during a lights-out overnight run is not going to be caught by a smoke detector across the house until it is already serious.

What FK-5-1-12 Is and Why It Matters
The suppression agent inside every BlazeCut T Series tube is FK-5-1-12. This is a clean gaseous agent that suppresses fire by absorbing heat and interrupting the chemical reaction that sustains combustion. After discharge it dissipates cleanly, leaving no residue, no powder, no water.
For the environments where BlazeCut is most commonly used, this matters enormously. A dry chemical discharge inside an engine compartment coats every surface in powder. A dry chemical discharge inside a server rack or an electrical panel does the same thing, and then you have a cleanup problem and likely corrosion damage on top of whatever the fire itself caused. FK-5-1-12 suppresses the fire and leaves the protected space in the same condition it was in before the fire, minus whatever damage the fire itself caused before suppression.
FK-5-1-12 is non-conductive, which makes it safe for electrical equipment and electronics. It is non-corrosive. It is safe for people in properly ventilated spaces. And it leaves no residue that requires cleanup after a discharge.
What BlazeCut Protects
The T Series is designed for enclosed or nearly enclosed spaces with a defined interior volume. Here is where it is used most commonly and where it works best.
Vehicle engine compartments. Trucks, classic cars, UTVs, side-by-sides, construction equipment, agricultural equipment. Any enclosed engine bay with fuel, hydraulic lines, and electrical wiring running near hot exhaust surfaces.
3D printer enclosures. BlazeCut is the officially recommended fire suppression add-on for the Original Prusa Enclosure and is used in Bambu Lab P1S and other enclosed printer setups. It covers the gap between thermal runaway protection, which shuts the printer down, and actual fire suppression.
Electrical panels and control cabinets. NEMA 12 enclosures, VFD cabinets, motor control centers, and electrical distribution panels. Any enclosed electrical enclosure in a location that is not continuously monitored.
Server racks and IT enclosures. Enclosed server cabinets with doors and side panels, not open frame racks. The T Series is rated for the full interior volume of standard enclosed rack cabinets.
Marine engine compartments. Inboard engine bays on boats where the engine compartment is fully enclosed. Battery compartments on vessels with lithium house battery banks.
CNC machine enclosures. Machine tool enclosures with oil-based coolants, high-speed rotation, and electrical components, particularly during lights-out and unattended operation.
Off-grid and solar battery enclosures. Enclosed battery cabinets housing lithium house banks, charge controllers, and inverter systems, particularly in unoccupied or remote locations.
And many other applications. Any enclosed space with heat-generating equipment that runs without constant human supervision is a candidate. If you are not sure whether your specific application qualifies, the key question is whether the space is enclosed enough that a gas agent could build concentration inside it. Open spaces and poorly sealed enclosures are not suitable.
What BlazeCut Does Not Do
Being clear about limitations is as important as explaining the benefits.
BlazeCut is not a room-level or building-level suppression system. It protects the enclosed space where the tube is installed, not a room around it. A server rack protected by BlazeCut is protected inside the cabinet. The room the cabinet sits in is not.
BlazeCut does not replace a portable fire extinguisher. Both serve different scenarios. BlazeCut handles the unattended, inside-the-enclosure scenario. A portable extinguisher handles fires that a person can reach and respond to quickly. You want both.
BlazeCut cannot stop a lithium battery that has already entered full thermal runaway. Once the self-sustaining chemical reaction inside a battery cell is underway, no suppression system can stop it. The value of BlazeCut in lithium battery applications is early intervention during a developing heat event before that threshold is crossed. That early window is where protection makes a real difference.
The T Series Product Line
The BlazeCut T Series comes in tube lengths from 25cm to 800cm, rated for maximum enclosure volumes as follows for electrical fire applications:
- T025E: up to 3.18 cubic feet
- T050E: up to 6.36 cubic feet

Sizing is based on the gross interior volume of the enclosed space you are protecting. Measure the interior dimensions in inches, multiply length x width x height, divide by 1,728 to convert to cubic feet, and select the tube model whose maximum electrical fire rating covers that volume.
The ES model tubes include an integrated pressure switch that sends a signal to external notification devices such as a beacon, sounder, or warning buzzer at the moment of discharge. If you want to know when the system has activated, or if you want to trigger an equipment shutdown relay at the moment of discharge, you need an ES model tube. If you just want suppression with no notification, the standard model works on its own.
Installation
The tube routes inside the enclosed space using zip ties or one-hole mounting straps. No drilling, no wiring, no connection to any electrical system required for the suppression to function. The tube ships pre-charged and is working from the moment it is installed. Most installations in standard enclosures take under an hour. Service life is up to 10 years with no maintenance required.

Is BlazeCut UL listed? The BlazeCut T Series 6mm and 8mm BlazeTube configurations are listed to ANSI/UL 521. The system also holds LPS 1666 certification and complies with NFPA 2001 standards for clean agent fire suppression.
How long does the tube last? Service life is up to 10 years with no maintenance required during that period. No pressure checks, no annual inspection, no recharging.
