Enhanced Fire Suppression for Larger 3D Printer Enclosures

The BlazeCut TR045FK-PRUSA is a self-contained automatic fire suppression unit designed for larger 3D printer enclosures, including extended builds and multi-printer setups. Purpose-built for compact electrical environments, this unit is ideal for protecting Prusa models and other desktop 3D printers operating inside enclosed spaces where heat and unattended print jobs increase fire risk.

The system consists of a black, abrasion-resistant heat-sensitive tube filled with FK-5-1-12, a Clean Fire Suppressing Agent. Once temperatures inside the enclosure reach approximately 267°F (±6°F), the tube melts at the hottest point, forming a nozzle and instantly releasing the agent onto the fire source. It suppresses flames fast—without water, foam, or powder—and won’t damage electronics or create cleanup issues.

With increased protected volume over the TR032FK-PRUSA, this model is ideal for larger Prusa enclosures, dual printer racks, or enclosures containing multiple power supplies, heated beds, or filament dryers.

🔒 This model does not include a pressure switch. For advanced features like alarm signaling or system-triggered shutdowns, see BlazeCut “-S” models (e.g., TR050FK-S).

Ideal For:

  • Larger Prusa 3D Printer Enclosures – Double-deck or wide enclosures (e.g., MK4 + MMU setups)

  • Multi-Printer Enclosures – Small print farm racks, mobile carts, or workstation towers

  • High-Heat Builds – Long prints with heated chambers, active enclosures, filament dryers

  • Educational Labs & Maker Spaces – Protect students, staff, and facilities from unattended prints

  • Compact Electrical Cabinets – Small battery banks, low-voltage automation systems

Key Benefits:

  • Automatic Activation – Fire detection and suppression with zero user input

  • Clean Fire Suppressing Agent (FK-5-1-12) – Safe for electronics, 3D printer components, and enclosed spaces

  • Zero Residue or Mess – No damage to your build platform or components after discharge

  • Environmentally Friendly – Zero ozone depletion and extremely low global warming impact

  • Fully Self-Contained – No wiring, control boxes, or external connections required

  • Compact Design – Installs directly at the top of your enclosure using included zip ties

What Makes FK-5-1-12 Different?

FK-5-1-12 is a non-toxic, non-conductive, and residue-free clean agent trusted worldwide for enclosed environments. It’s safe for humans, electronics, and equipment—and one of the most eco-conscious fire suppressants available, with zero ozone depletion potential and very low global warming potential, making it ideal for home, educational, and commercial print spaces.

Frequently asked questions

How does BlazeCut work?

BlazeCut uses a heat-sensitive tube containing extinguishing agent. When exposed to high temperatures, the tube melts and releases the agent to suppress the fire automatically.

Where can BlazeCut be installed?

Common installation sites include engine compartments, electrical cabinets, data centers, and enclosed spaces at risk of fire; it’s important to check specific product volume recommendations for each enclosure.

What types of fires does BlazeCut suppress?

BlazeCut is effective on electrical, liquid, and solid fuel fires, particularly in small closed spaces.

What is the lifespan/shelf life of a BlazeCut system?

The tube and system can last between 5 and 10 years, depending on environment and application.

Does BlazeCut leave behind residue or damage equipment?

BlazeCut uses clean agents which do not conduct electricity, corrode, or damage electronics, and are safe for people in typical application volumes.
